I guess the continuing heatwave, other competing events including another, well publicised, free one by the Night Owl in the Old Crown only a few hundred yards away and it being the first day of the school holidays all took their toll. A real shame because the DJ's were outstanding, the sound system excellent, the venue nicely done up (at least since the last time I was here many years ago) and a couple of the Midlands' best dancers on the well sized floor were all worth the effort, add to that the cheapest bar I have encountered this year. Hopefully the next one in September will be more popular.
