His daughter Leanne Newby is collecting for a contribution towards his headstone and she has kindly chosen our venue to do this. Dave enjoyed his soul nights and was a regular at the Grosvenor. pjsoulgirl 103 Posted October 19, 2018 Just before the excitement of the 10th anniversary begins tomorrow I would like to make a personal dedication to Robert Yates without who the Grosvenor would not have got started. We panicked that first night that no-one would turn up but 273 soulies turned up and since then we haven't looked back. The scene has changed a lot in that 10 years but our friendship hasn't.
