Soul The Harold

Stuart Arber is not available this month - otherwise engaged - but Steve Dalton - plus guest DJs Jim Hirst & Jeff Robinson - will be spinning the vinyl on the night. The dancers will all be going home with big smiles & aching legs!    

This cracking little club is certainly well worth a visit! It's got it all - buzzing, friendly atmosphere - quality dance floor - top-notch sound system - cheap bar - request-friendly DJs & the music's just spot-on. The Harold has always been one of my favourite clubs - so when Jools & Lawrence took the decision that 16 years was long enough at the Harold & they were ready for a new challenge, I was gutted! I was SO pleased when Steve & Stuart (2 of the nicest guys I know) took over the soul nights. It's still early days for them, but they got off to a great start - along with their carefully-chosen guest DJs they certainly know how to pack a dance floor!

Appreciate your positive comments Kathryn. While long term resident DJ's, Jools and Lawrence have moved onto pastures new, Stuart and myself are tweaking the music policy with more emphasis on classic northern soul, uptempo Motown, R & B and sixties soul. Now looking towards Saturday 27th October and some wonderful soul music from our special guest DJ's Jeff Robinson and Jim Hirst plus a little help from myself.                                                We will have tickets on sale for Boxing Day on the door - no price increase, £5.00. Also free raffle with first prize worth £60.00!!!

Superb, quality dance floor at the Harold - get your dancing shoes ready for all those storming tunes!

Just a few days now to Soul @ The Harold and another super soulful night. Our DJ set times are : Jeff Robinson 8.30 - 9.15 & 10.45 - 11.30,

Jim Hirst 9.15 - 10.00 & 11.30 - 12.15, Steve Dalton 10.00 - 10.45 & 12.15 - 1.00 am. It's just about having a great night out with absolutely no politics!
