Northern Soul And Motown Night

What a difference a month makes! Came here last month and was bowled over by the building and the whole set up but slightly saddened by the relatively small crowd (to be fair though it is a BIG building for a regular night so it probably wasn't that empty), anyway this month the secret seems to be out as it was really busy. Recognised several faces from other well attended nights in Wolverhampton and Halesowen and people from Stafford so word has certainly got around. Good mix of DJ's; music was definitely across the board and quite a lot of Motown (not really my preference but there were a good few people there who appreciated it). The atmosphere and building are, though, magnificent. As I said to a friend the place is a bit like Kings Hall, Stoke if you cut it in half. Did a reasonable sketch (mainly before they turned the lights off) found the people a bit tricky as it's so dark but came up with a bit of a blurring technique which I think turned out reasonably enough? One for the calendar although it is on the same night as Stables in Wolverhampton so may be forced to vacillate between the two depending on mood and weather.
