The Gretna Soul Night 20th Anniversary

just a quick update to let everyone know local collector/and dj mike keddy will be joining in the fun on the 17th .mike has a brilliant  collection of original uk vinyl and is very well respected and mike himself was one of the original members of the gretna r & b soul club way back in the day.

just uploaded a signed copy of agent double o soul edwin starr on the yellow label ric-tic .i thought at the time easier to see his signature on this copy .this was one of the monster tunes that was being played at the wheel and my big soul mate who took me to the wheel for the first time the late great eddie barton who passed away last week ,came back to the gretna in carlisle with this 45 in the mid 60,s and it just blew us all away .we all went down the following week to manchester .....happy days ..so we think it will be a fine tribute to eddie to play some of his finer moments including this .rip eddie barton you will be a big big miss.

just to confirm ...the crown and mitre hotel have informed us that people who are travelling to the gretna,s 20 th anniversary soul night are able to pay on the night at the door.......after enquiries ..... a  number of tickets are to be made available on the night however doors must close at 11pm.....sorry no entry after then.

WELL OVER 300 FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY CAME TO CELEBRATE THE NIGHT ...FROM GLASGOW TO THE SOUTH COAST OF ENGLAND...A TRUELY FANTASTIC EFFORT CAME. TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN TO ALL THE ORIGINAL VINYL ..THANKS TO OUR GUEST DJ MIKE KEDDY FOR JOINING US .....WE HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PROJECTION OF THE DECKS PLAYING THOSE 45,S ON THE RAREST FORMAT...SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR !!!
