Northern Soul And Motown Night

The vibe about this place seems to be growing each time I come here - the tail end of Storm Callum and the fact that this was a Friday night rather than a Saturday may have put some off (it delayed me leaving a bit certainly) but the numbers were still reasonable. Usual mix of Motown and Northern Soul with a couple of decent guest DJ's including Mark Morris who I drew, word is certainly spreading as local legendary dancer Simon Walsgrove was also there although sadly too late for me to draw him (I've tried before and he's too quick for me anyway!). The real plus about this night is the building though, beautiful, atmospheric with a balcony, proper bar in another room and a massive dancefloor. Lighting was perfect this time and I sat facing the stage which turned out well, also drew the DJ from closer to the stage. 

I rarely give 5 stars - I've noticed most reviews are by the promoters of the events who inevitably give 5 stars to everything. I am trying to be objective.
