A slightly belated review as I've only just joined the forum - but I can only echo the other comments here; an excellent night of across the board music and an amazing achievement for a first night too!

Can't wait for the next installment on July 6th, I'm sure the team will have another exciting line up in place for us

A brilliant turn out for the first one and the feedback is testament to the effort that obviously went into putting it on.

Nice to hear a real mix of sounds over the course of the night; made a pleasant change from the same old bobbins you cop for so often these days.

Enjoyed playing a few records; thanks again for the invite lads👍

cheers

Great talking to Winsford Soul (ste). Made my night mate and really enjoyed catching up mate. Here to the next one watch this space.....

After all the well deserved praise and credit regarding the opening night of what will be hopefully many more nights to come I'm going to throw a big spanner in the works.  It was that good it made me leave much much later than planned that I actually missed most of the  Swinton nighter.  😋

🤣Only joking.  I need my spanners for work so I can't throw any 🤣 Big thanks to everyone involved with last night.  Pete,  Dan,  girls on the door ,Guest Djs all the usual suspects. Looking forward to July 6th for the next one

Steve ( spanner thrower ) Smith

PS.  Joan we won't mention the record wrong side up . Oops did I say that out loud 😎

What a refreshing change to a soul night, no mandated play list and what a treat the DJ's gave us; a wonderful mix of music, all in one room, something for everyone, something new to hear for most people we spoke to. Dance floor very busy and excellent for stomping, shuffling and sliding on. Well done guys you did just what it said on the tin. Was it worth our drive over from East Coast to West Coast? absolutely. You have set the bar very high, can't wait for the next one. Thank you it was awesome.

Well done to the Wrong Crowd team - they delivered exactly what was on the tin! It was brilliant to arrive to an already electric atmosphere at 20:30 (can't say that for many venues nowadays). Really nice venue, sound equipment setup properly and the crowd were great; dancing along to pretty much everything thrown at them - a much needed breath of fresh air LOVE IT.

Keep up the good work

FAB night doesn’t even come close to how good it was. Busy venue, buzzing atmosphere straight from the off, wonderful dancefloor (no jiggered knees this morning). All the DJs were up for the ‘free reign music policy’ and looked to be having as good a time as the punters. Appreciative crowd with plenty of applause after their sets. I danced and danced and danced - loved it and will be back. 💃🏻💃🏻

Well done to all the organisers and DJ’s xx

A very busy first night at an Excelent club !  I arrived at 9.45pm to an already busy club - greeted by friendly door staff,                                         Lancaster has always been an hotbed of Soul since the days of the mighty Central Pier in Morecambe and the proceding Carlton Club - So what a promising start to this new venture, open minded folk dancing to rare 70's & 80's alongside quality ultra rareties from the 60's including The Tubines "We can't start over", Eddie Billups "Ask my heart", Delegates of Soul "I'll come running back" & Pat Lewis "No one to love" definitely a well run event and long may it continue.
