About The Event

After false starts at two venues we've finally found a new home in the Basement 'Den' of The Micklegate Social in York.

It's a cracking venue with a very nice bar - and a cool basement for our night.

It's only a couple of minutes walk from York Station and there's a well lit big car park a minute away from the bar on Nunnery Lane  - so really easy to get to.

What you'll get is rare and underplayed soul, funky edged, northern, rhythm & soul, RnB, and gritty dancers.

This being our first night at the new venue we thought it would be good to get a selection of local(ish) DJ's to mix it up for the occasion.

7 til late  |  This first one is free entry

From December 29th we'll be bi-monthly on Saturday nights.

Ceramic tiled floor onto concrete as we are in a basement, tiles are slippy so no need for talc, it's our first time there so we need feedback on everything, myself and Gaz will be attempting to get round everyone to get their opinions good or bad on the floor, if not good then we will look to have a chat with the owner regarding purchasing a wooden dance floor, thanks

9pm - 9:40 - Dekka & Gaz
9:40 - 10:20 -Stewart Richards
10:20 - 11 -  Richard Evans
11 - 11:40 - Illya Hudsson
11:40 - 12:20 - Tony Hatfield
12:20 - 1am finish Dekka & Gaz.

Apologies about the late start but that really was out of our control, there will be a comedian on the early evening pre event, this was the owners idea as he is trying to build a reputation for the club as an all round entertainment venue, so on behalf of myself, Gaz and Dan I can only apologise. We can assure you that this won't happen at our future events but we wanted to make sure everyone was aware of what was happening, atb dekka

Thanks for the update ... unfortunately our knees don't fare too well on a concrete floor so won't be coming 😞 Good luck with the night.
