'CON-SOUL'.

Southport Conservative Club.

20 Bath Street.

Southport.

Merseyside.

PR9 ODA.

 

This is a relatively new venue in Southport which is gaining popularity, playing quality Northern Soul, Rare Motown and a touch of Classic R'n'B and Ska for all tastes........ and all on vinyl.  Not to rare ..... specialising in 'underplayed', 'not overplayed' !!

 

Continues every 3rd Saturday of each month, (where possible), featuring resident DJ's - Steve and Joan Rimmer / Dave Byrne and Mike Francis, plus our monthly Special Super Soulie Guest DJ.

Starting time from 20.00pm - Music played until 1.00am with late bar and 1.30am departure.

Entrance fee of only £4.00 pp (o.t.d).

 

There is on street parking around the venue which is free from 6pm, or alternatively a car park further down the road which has cctv at £3.00.

We're happy to announce that our November event will feature our very own Mr Rod Clegg as our Special Super Soulie guest DJ. We hope you can come along and join us for another great evening of Underplayed rather than Overplayed Northern Soul, Motown with a dash of RnB. Starting from 8pm - 1am and only £4.00 otd.

Not long to go now before another great night of 'underplayed' NOT 'Overplayed' Northern Soul, Motown and RnB at Con-Soul (Southport).

We're looking forward to this one and we hope that as many as is possible can join us for another great night of music and dance.

Just another week until we open the dance floor to some cracking tunes at our 4th Con-soul night with super soulie guest DJ Rod Clegg ! come on down and enjoy something a bit different ?
just to clarify THIS IS NOT A RARE SOUL NIGHT !!!
Our policy is UNDERPLAYED and not OVER-PLAYED we are trying to play some of the thousands of great Soul, Motown and R&B records that are being overlooked
We are not relying on the TOP 500 to get you moving and shaking but you will no doubt hear some as we aim to please everyone ( tall order !!) at our Con-soul nights
Last months was a fantastic night great tunes, great friendly people great turn out and a great atmosphere what more do you want for 4 quid !!!

On behalf of the Con-Soul crew we would like to thank everyone who travelled from far and wide who attended and supported our event here in Southport. Numbers were lower than we had hoped probably due to the amount of events on the same evening but everyone appeared to have enjoyed themselves and we received a lot of positive feedback. A big thank you to Rod Clegg who played a cracking set that kept the dance floor bouncing. A big thank you also to the bar staff who kept us refreshed throughout the evening. Our next event at Con-Soul will be Friday 14th December when we'll have our resident DJ's and our Super Soulie Gust DJ Tony Brookes spinning his favorite tunes on the evening. We hope that as many as is possible can join us for this one as it's going to be another great night of known and little known music and dance.
