Timillustrator 693 November 18, 2018 Share this review Another good night, no guest DJ's this month just Woza and little Pem but they do manage to keep it interesting. Actually talking to someone a while back they weren't so keen on a few of the guests (who apparently left no one dancing) which perhaps does say something about the quality of the residents' here - there's always something surprising. I've said all I can about the venue, nice floor, friendly crowd etc. and the standard is always maintained. Numbers also fairly consistent; it must be difficult given the number of other venues on the same night - For example this Friday there was alternatively the Soldiers' in Hendesford (which I've heard is good) and the Soul Lounge in Wednesfield, both a bit of a trek and I'd always go for anything in Birmingham first, but it does mean people will probably come once every three months or so rather than all the time. Brought a sketch pad for the first time ever which meant I could do watercolour, not sure it exactly worked it went very "sketchy" again which is maybe a step back, but it was interesting, nice to change away from the sketch books though. Also did a postcard of Woza as part of my DJ's series. I rarely give 5 stars - I've noticed most reviews are by the promoters of the events who inevitably give 5 stars to everything. I am trying to be objective. 1 Link to review
