Spacehopper 744 Posted March 5, 2019 So still a long way off but our first guest dj for August is another young gun. Like Jordan wilson who played last time Ethan Brent James Howarth has a great passion when spinning soul not surprising as being the son of a soul dj/promoter he's been around it all his life. Having already played most of the top events around the country it's time we had him down in bristol. Expect some great northern both classic oldies and some underplayed surprises. Link to comment
Spacehopper 744 Posted March 8, 2019 The next guest dj, like Ethan will be playing gogo for the first time and is also another dj who plays with passion ! 'Trusty' Â is resident at one of the north's premier events empty bottles in Leeds but hails from the north east. I caught him recently playing both in leeds and at twisted grooves in manchester and his largely but not solely uptempo rnb playbox is gonna fill the floor at gogo I'm sure Link to comment
Spacehopper 744 Posted March 11, 2019 After two first time spinners at gogo our next guest dj is a returnee and regular. It's been nearly 3 years since we've witnessed the unique,  enthusiastic and brilliant  dj styles of Gloucesters Robert Cornock down at gogo. For those that don't know him 'Gospel Bob' was an original mod in the 60s travelling upto the famous twisted wheel allnighters in Manchester. He's had a lifetime love of soul music ever since and today has an awesome collection of rare funky soul and gospel and is a resident at the very successful 'soulfunktion ' allnighters in walsall. We are truly blessed Link to comment
Spacehopper 744 Posted March 13, 2019 Very pleased to announce our next DJ Another first time spinner at gogo and travelling all the way down from Newcastle alongside trusty is a man I recently heard play at twisted grooves and then when I saw him at Bolton  we managed to chat about getting him to Bristol at last.  I first heard ' Hoss' at the Radcliffe allnighters about 5 years ago but before that he was resident at the Lowton alnighters and ran backbeat rnb at the middleton allnighters where he was introducing a lot of the records we are still dancing to and searching for today! So another dj playing rnb and hard 60s soul, it's gonna get hot in there! Link to comment
Spacehopper 744 Posted March 15, 2019 So lastly but by NO means least our final guest dj is a little man with a BIG heart and knowledge and love of soul. A returnee dj and regular attendee of gogo little Chris Davies will be giving you quality northern and funky edged soul. Over the last few years after hearing chris play at various venues I don't think I've heard a set which didn't have at least one ' new to me' tune in it that I wasnt immediately on the hunt for and I bet his next set for us will be the same! Always digging out different things and they're not all big money items either but they are little bits of treasure that you'll wanna dance to.. lovely bloke too Link to comment
