Mick Boyle 406 Posted January 26, 2019 (edited) The Brit - This iconic house of soul will close its doors forever and be pulled down in January 2020 for the expansion of the NFFC. We have secured 6 nights July - December (Dates listed above) to celebrate Nottingham's most loved soul venue. Even the Palais or Dungeon couldn't compare to this place and it still looks like it did back in the day. We have secured many Brit DJs to assist in these final nights, Richard Broughton has agreed to come out of retirement for one last time. John Poole - Rob Thomas - Glyn Sisson - Steve Frost - Rob Smith - Mick H - Nev Shooter - Steve Phillis - Rick Bramhall Also SITP regulars Alex Gallagher and myself will be behind the decks. Also we're giving a few sets to Brit newbies for those who have a serious record collection but not had the chance to put the legendary Brit club on their CV. . Only original vinyl will be used by all our DJs. Soul In The Park has been running for nearly 2 years and is well known for not playing same old same old. We play quality Northern, 60s, 70s, R&B, Motown. ballads, rare and yes some top 500. Now we are at the Brit, we will continue to do this and I know that our booked DJs will also play with passion. Hope to see you there - Mick Edited September 4, 2019 by Mick Boyle Link to comment
Mick Boyle 406 Posted May 21, 2019 (edited) Rich Broughton old school Brit DJ will come out of "behind the decks" retirement for this one event only. Yes I was also shocked when he said yes. Rick Bramhall from Mansfield will also be playing the cream of his collection Edited September 4, 2019 by Mick Boyle Link to comment

Speedlimit 754 Posted September 23, 2019 Great night down at the batcave, great set of across the board sounds, and was nice to catch up with old friends from my home town. Looking forward to spinning some tunes at the iconic club where I first started out. I may even play some tunes I first played that went on to be massive all-over the country See you all in October Regards Steve p Link to comment
