Gas Club Sheffield The Horti

Hi all we are back at the Holti and raring to go. Nice venue with a good size dance floor. The bar is open late with good cheap prices. Going to get some photos of the place for next time, so looking forward to it.

7pm - Doors just opened, eager mob of dancers behind camera paying to get in...."Stop pushing...!"

A smaller club with a nice layout for a soul night.This could generate a great old school atmosphere.So lets make it happen and keep the Sheffield Original Vinyl scene alive.

Got some great feedback from the last Gas Club with the travelling soulies from Leeds and Nottingham. We are trying to keep the old scene going with additions being added  to their collections . We have the GAS CLUB sign to put back up at the holti. Really looking forward to another soulful night.

Gas Club at Horti Last night.Great night with very optomistic signs for the future.Punters in from Leeds,Manchester,and Notts.Great to see Mr Rob Wicks call in and former World Champ Keith Driver gracing the floor.Some of the best sets ive heard from the mysto Chris Brooke and later from Dave and Loz.I just fitted in as usual and had a blast playing The Gas Club Format of Original vinyl   LOVED ONES,FORGOTTEN ONES,NEGLECTED ONES

An excellent night at the Horti, some great tunes played. Good to hear some I hadn't heard in years. I'm sure, as word spreads, that numbers will continue to climb. This is a very good venue, so if you haven't been, come give it a go. If you like proper northern played on proper records, this is for you.

What a surprise Rob Wicks gave us a visit and gave us a thumbs up to our music policy. I was thinking that the true northern scene was dead in Sheffield, Long live THE GAS CLUB.
