What a great review by Kathryn Magson on this fabulous Halifax soul event. She is spot on with all her comments - I think she has said it all. Something a bit special about an outdoor event. Everyone went home very happy indeed. Yes Kathryn, very much looking forward to the next soul event at The Grayston Unity Pub.

Thanks to Franny O'Brien & Steve Dalton for a really enjoyable afternoon of 60s soul tunes at The Vic Lounge revival at The Grayston Unity. I was one of the first to arrive & I was pleasantly surprised to find this quaint little back yard pub filled up very quickly with a lively, friendly crowd - lots of old mods - & the atmosphere was just buzzing!

The event was held outside the pub in the little courtyard - there was a small area in front of the decks where a few people had a bit of a boogie, but the Grayston is not really a dance venue, more in the way of a "chilled out" area with lots of R&B & 60s soul music to listen to. The music was spot on with plenty of soul - mod - R&B - classic stompers - something for everyone. The bar was reasonably priced & the bar staff were all very friendly & helpful.

Absolutely perfect event for a chill-out on a warm summer's day! Thanks again & well done to Franny & Steve - you nailed it guys & I can't wait for your next event xxx :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
