Continuing in the ‘Spirit of Lowton’ by inviting guest dj’s who strive to push the boundaries of rare soul while entertaining their audience, we are delighted to welcome probably the busiest DJ on the scene, GINGER TAYLOR to CULCHETH on FRIDAY AUGUST 9th. Ginger has always been an avid collector of rare Northern and 70’s soul music and has amassed a superb collection of records from some of the scenes’ biggest rare soul floor fillers to many great, underplayed rarities to ‘wow the crowd’.
So, we invite you to join Ginger, Bob Hinsley, Kev Murphy, Ian Cunliffe and Baz Maleady for a great night of rare and Modern soul in two rooms a week on Friday 9th August…

Play this please Bob:

Great record! memories of early doors at the Saints Club in St Helens, always tried to get it away but fell by the wayside, ready to have its day 👏

Don't forget Friday at Culcheth like Lowton of old is a two room event. The modern room featuring some of the best new soul releases on 45 (and probably one of the few places you can hear and dance to these new releases) as well as a great selection of Modern Soul from the 80's 90's and Y2K

Gotta say the 'Spirit of Lowton' was in FULL EFFECT last night! The Music was awesome, the people, fantastic, happy smiling faces and just lovin' the tuneage. My personal thanks to all the DJ's Ian Cunliffe, Les Harrison, Bob Hinsley and our special guest Ginger Taylor you all dug deep into your respective boxes and played from the 'soul' and it was magic. Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come along last night, not the easiest place to get to, but get there you did from far and wide, so THANK YOU, I hope you all enjoyed it. Nights like last night make all the mither worth it for me, so here's to next time, watch this space....👏✊
