Great night, great music and enjoyed catching up with a few old faces and had a great chat with a few news ones. Sorry Mr hindsley for bending your ear but a wealth of knowledge 👍

I used to attend the old Lowton, been a while since I went but it was always a packer and heard that Culcheth was the same. How disappointed was I on Friday night.   It was very under-attended.  Was that just a "one off"?  Great set in the modern room by Mr Maleady.   Sadly it was invaded by a group of manbaggers throwing their pints around. To be fair they were very good humoured and friendly and didn't stay long and actually one of them was a brilliant dancer even though he was performing in his anorak! 🤣.

Another musically great event at Culcheth on Friday night, both rooms delivering the now expected quality - as Flamingemeralds has mentioned attendance was down due mostly I guess to the 2 European Soul weekenders and of course the plethera of soul nights in the calendar; competition which has been the subject of many a Soul Source thread!

I'm sure the next Culcheth will be every bit as good and hopefully the faithful will be around to attend and make it another smash.

All I can say to finish is a big hats off to Baz Maleady who sticks at it, delivering great nights and always looking for ways to improve the event

Loved the Modern Room on Friday, great crowd, great crack and an opportunity to play some old Lowton favourites. Sincere thanks for your kind words

The attendances at Culcheth have been good all year but being honest, they will never reach the hay-days of Lowton at 400+every month, simply due to the fact, things have changed. As Simon, (eddiefoster) says, two European weekenders, which not only took a good number of regulars but two resident DJ's as well, add to that a plethora of soul nights in other towns on Friday, some of which were free admittance AND an 'effin' England game on as well,it's no big surprise the numbers were down a bit as they were at most other events this weekend.

On the flip side, the August night was fantastic, so I look at it like this, if you want quality music in a great made for it venue, then Culcheth is a must visit night. I stay positive cause I see the bigger picture, and the fact is with today's scene unless you are an 'Event' attendances are going to fluctuate month by month so you (me) takes the rough with the smooth.

December will be a good 'un cause it's going to be a Special Celebration event (watch this space) and we start 2020 with the Anniversary in Feb, both of which will be busy, then is down to me and the team to convince you and others that Culcheth is your first choice, Soul Night out,  so hope to see you soon...😉

All I can say was we attended but the music in the main hall was superb as it was at LOWTON. Would rather attend a night of quality music 🎶 as on Friday the endure the AVERAGE working men's club playing bootlegs to there friends any day. Keep up the hard work, we all apriecate what u do. here's to next 20 years. Yet some people forget its history in my humble opinion.
