This month we have PETE EVERETT joining us again. This is Pete's 3rd visit, obviously he is well regarded, hence his return visits.

Residents: Kev Richardson & Mick Boyes

Please bring along some form of photo i/d as there are new access restrictions to the site. Unfortunately the social club is based on the Ineos/Inovyn works site which means we have to abide by the new regulations. (you may be required to stop at the security gate and provide photo I'D for everyone in the car). We are working to overcome this draconian restriction for social club visitors but the conversation are still ongoing).

Listen up folks, important information.

HYDRO SOUL CLUB SAT 28TH SEPT.

The County Council have at last decided to go ahead with the road works on School Aycliffe Lane and this will mean disruption to anyone using the road during the last week in this month, September.

This will include over night road closures from 19:00 hrs on three or four nights during this period. And, you have guessed it, from 19:00 on Sat Sept 28th the access to the east end of School Aycliffe lane will be closed off from Preston Road (the railway bridge end of the road). As of 19:00 hrs there will be a diversion taking anyone who wants to access Heighington and School Aycliffe, (Including Hydro Soul Club) through Aycliffe trading estate. Access to ineos will only be available from the Heighington/School Aycliffe roundabout i.e the west approach.

So if your coming to Ineos (Hydro Soul Club) early, you should be allowed access through your normal route but after 19:00 hrs, including return Taxis later in the night, you will have to come via the diverted route.

Anyone travelling the A1, from either North or South direction, should exit at J58 (not J59). Your Sat Nav will bring you into Ineos via School Aycliffe.

The diversion from Preston Road will probably add four mile to your journey if you're coming from Aycliffe and surrounding areas.

If anyone would like any further details please contact me and I will endeavour to give you directions if you need them.

Looking forward to our trip to the Hydro this Saturday and playing tunes for a great crowd who just love to dance. If you want a seat be early. Pete.

The doors will be open from 18.30 on Saturday night. I'm uncertain as to how the road works have progressed this week as some of the periods of work have been a wash out.  But it's a Hydro Soul Club night. Soul music being played with a passion for people passionate about soul music.

Attended last night and again it was an excellent night. Pete Everett played some excellent tracks and the rest of the night the atmosphere was kept going with Kev and Mick. There are always new faces each month who travel some distance but never leave disapointed.

Great night indeed

With Pete Everett's experience and knowledge the night was set up nicely. Doors opened at 6.30 p.m as there were roadworks and diversions in place, which we knew would cause problems for people travelling to the venue. The choice to open early proved to be the right one. I opened the music up at 6.35 with several early motown tracks, volume lowered because I thought people would be settling in but oh no, pump up the volume Kev as 15 or so early birds wanted to dance. Mick Boyes came onto the decks at 6.45 p.m and lifted the pace for 90 minutes while I was checking out the diversion signs near to the venue. The night just got better and better. I did 30 minutes before Pete came on and lifted things further with a blinding choice of sounds during his first 45 minute spot. His second spot later in the night was full of well known and underplayed dance tunes, absolutely superb choices my friend.

From 6.30 p.m until 00.45 a.m the floor was never empty. The feedback has been exceptional. Come on Hydro lets get hot and sweaty.

See you all next month. Don't miss it.

Our December gig is booked in for Boxing night. Don't stuff your faces with ket coz your going to have do some serious dancing to get rid of it.
