Charity Soul The Capricorn

This Goole Soul Night event has now ended

Event Information

Event Type: Soul Night

Event Date & Time:

Venue Name: The Capricorn

Event Location:  Goole   DN14 5QW

Event Description

At last we can now reveal our latest event in conjunction with the management of the Capricorn restaurant and bar. We are delighted to announce that we've agreed 6 regular soul nights in 2020 at this famous venue, in the soul loving town of Goole.

We hope the soul 'Goolies' and aficionardos of soul in the locality will support this venture, as with the dj's on board we intend to play some of the most exiting northern, rare and popular motown soul that is currently available on the scene. When you have the likes of people with such astounding collections as John Parker and Steve Gainey, coupled with long established dj's and much respected guys as Sammy Seaman and Tony Jackson plus the likeable TOC and local (???) son of Goole Gregg Gowlar, we think we're on to a winner, so get yourselves down to the 'Cap' on Saturday 7th March 2020 for what is sure to  be one of the most brilliant soul events in 2020, and not forgetting that all monies raised goes towards prostate cancer research conducted by Dr Fiona Frame at Hull University

Confirmed DJ for the inaugural opening night at the 'Cap'...

Gregg Gowlar

Sammy Seaman

John Parker

Steve Gainey

TOC

Where else could have such an incredible, highly respected list of djs, giving their time free for charity,  in the locality for the entrance fee of £3.00. This promises to be THE event to go to with such an illustrious DJ line, up playing the best northern, rare, r n b soul around.

Forget the rest come to the Cap for the best.

Looking forward to this one, always nervy when it’s a first night. Judging by Facebook comments looks like being a busy one. Fingers crossed because all funds go to prostate cancer research.
If your not doing anything then come along to hear some top tunes being played by some top Djs. See above list.

Well what can you say,...............thanks local Goolies (and all others who traveled from Donny, Morley, Hull etc) for making this inaugural event an absolutely incredible banging rammed first night .

Nervous first nite nerves soon put to bed when Goole soulies started rocking up at 7:00pm... 30 minutes before official start and then a steady stream of soulies. The atmosphere generated during the night was taking you back to the good old soul club days of yesteryear, due to the low cellar roof in the Capricorn. The comments made by people leaving left was really heartwarming as all enjoyed a truly remarkable 'first nite'.
