About The Event

The COVID-19 measures have left the Rare Soul scene littered with cancelled events and the faithful following home alone at the weekends; so the Bury Town Hall team have decided to launch a ‘virtual’ all-nighter. The show will be broadcast over internet radio every Saturday while we’re under lockdown from 20:00 until the early hours of Sunday morning.

The format will be just like a real event with a selection of DJs from previous and upcoming all-nighters at Bury Town Hall selecting their spots, carefully in order, from actual records they own to keep it real.

You can join us at https://www.radioking.com/radio/soulallniter

...and we also hope to be posting links for use with iTunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Real Player & Quick Time in the near future.
We hope you enjoy the show and it goes some way to filling the void and lifting your spirits

To do list Saturday,

Spread the word and keep spreading the word, then spread the word further, then farther afield, then as far as I can,  encourage others to spread the word, work mates and old friends, the lot!👍

Morning good folks,

Nice to see Len is back tonight as a guest with some other names I do not recognise but am sure there will be interesting music played.
Great request slot tunage lined up to kick start the night.
Please show your sincere gratitude to Simon for producing the Show each week.
A lot of time & effort is needed to obtain such a "polished" product of the highest order - well done "my friend".

Looking forward to catching up with all the regulars and "newies" later...............          Tom.

With co production from Mr Smooooth voice Pete

I must metion all the team and DJs, it wouldn't come together without everyones input, and a special thanks to Mr Crampton doing a great job supporting me with the production

tuning in these past few weeks has certainly given me 'the bug' again to scour around for some cheap soulful ditties, with a view to making a purchase or ten !!

My very nice Mr Postman has just delivered the first two !! lol

Yea.. them were the days.. Turley Richards £40 too.. (or was it £20 ??) and struggled to shift 'em at that even !! Loads of good tunes at ridiculously cheap prices, that have gone on to 'have their day', and now command silly £££'s

T'was Simon that very kindly designed the database system that the lists were produced from.. can't believe that was 20 years ago now !!

I am so happy to be involved tonight .I have been listening over the last weeks and the music has really been top notch .The online format has given djs a chance to play a few tunes you wouldn’t normally get to hear at a venue and risks have been taken .Each week I have added a few tunes that were new to my ear to add to. my wants list and not all of them big money .

I am first and foremost a record collector and have been so enthused and inspired by the genuine spirit of the guys organising the Bury online all nighter .No profit involved just a true passion for the music that we all love .

Respect to Simon , Baz, Jordan and all involved .

Looking forward to hearing your set Richard.. hopefully some more for the wants 'book' - as that is what it has become since tuning in recently

Also looking forward to Robbo's offerings.. another with an ear for a good tune or three..

Is it time yet !! 🙃
