About The Event

The COVID-19 measures have left the Rare Soul scene littered with cancelled events and the faithful following home alone at the weekends; so the Bury Town Hall team have decided to launch a ‘virtual’ all-nighter. The show will be broadcast over internet radio every Saturday while we’re under lockdown from 20:00 until the early hours of Sunday morning.

The format will be just like a real event with a selection of DJs from previous and upcoming all-nighters at Bury Town Hall selecting their spots, carefully in order, from actual records they own to keep it real.

suprise me chalky          thats why i love this nighter      up there with the best     the target has got to be Micks spot we cant the feelgood run out before that !

The sun is shining it's saturday,must be Bury Town Hall Virtual Allnighter time.Starting 7pm with the all request hour which seems to growing week by week and another quality line up of Soul spinners and the banter in the radio king chat room will be flowing as ever!!

I've done my weekly 'text out' to people.  It's nice to get all the replies saying they are going to be tuning in.

I've been sitting here tuned in since just before 7 - The early request spot was fab (Well done all on that)

Every hour is really flying by - The 'individuality' of each set really stands out, and makes for interesting / enjoyable listening. People's different histories shining through their music choices I suppose.

Always a relief when it's over Pete, but a real pleasure to do.  I said to Simon that every time my voice comes on, I go and stand in the corner - One's skull does the strangest things to one's own voice :D

Mick Howard just played 'The Trends - If You Don't Dig The Blues' (Other side to 'Not Too Old To Cry') I didn't know I owned that side until Karl Rhodes pointed me in that direction when round my house some Ten years ago.

Great choice mate.

Poor Simon - I'm sure the Mix-Clouds will follow, but he really does need to keep his day job going as his first priority :D
