About The Event

The COVID-19 measures have left the Rare Soul scene littered with cancelled events and the faithful following home alone at the weekends; so the Bury Town Hall team have decided to launch a ‘virtual’ all-nighter. The show will be broadcast over internet radio every Saturday while we’re under lockdown from 20:00 until the early hours of Sunday morning.

The format will be just like a real event with a selection of DJs from previous and upcoming all-nighters at Bury Town Hall selecting their spots, carefully in order, from actual records they own to keep it real.

You can join us at https://www.radioking.com/radio/soulallniter

...and we also hope to be posting links for use with iTunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Real Player & Quick Time in the near future.
We hope you enjoy the show and it goes some way to filling the void and lifting your spirits

Arise Sir Len. Awesome set mate. Terry Callier. Ordinary Joe. Cadet. Tune of the night for me, so many memories of Saints and to all the lost souls to whom it was dedicated as the ender  record. Very special

Ordinary Joe, perfection 👍

Andy. I was lucky enough to get my 1st cadet demo for £25 then shortly afterwards when it got nicked i was very fortunate to get a second demo for £50. two for £75 most people havent even seen one. It was a virtually unknown record

Steve, I would of loved a copy back in the day but alas, didn't happen. I used to play it constantly in the car as the kids loved it and used to sing along to it all the time. Also reminds me of lowton as it was the last record of the night for quite sometime. There's a good faster jazzy version that i also like, just a great tune 👍

Andy. It is a great record. The album version is a different take on the single plus it was also done by Jerry Butler on a album
