Caledoniasoul presents: UP THE JUNCTION, Watford on

This event is now over

Brand new Northern Soul night in Watford, Herts. Upfront 60s club soul and northern aimed squarely at the dancefloor: featuring newies, classic soul and underplayed gemms from the UKs top DJs. DJ line up: very special confirmed guest COLIN LAW (Allanton / Shotts allnighter) plus the excellent Chris Dale (Mousetrap/100 Club) and residents. Friday 27 March 2009 from 8.30pm 'til 1am ('ish) :-)

Really good feedback on the 'Obama / Starr' flyer, one person asked for A1 posters - might look at that. View flyer on soul source flyers page.

Watford Irish Centre, Oxhey Park, Wiggenhall Road, Watford, Herts WD18 0HS. Tel: 01923 462332.

The Watford Irish Centre is a superb venue laid out to the exact Northern Soul spec (as if we'd planned it that way..). Superb Wooden dancefloor, stage, good-value social club prices and a friendly management. When we walked in we just thought, 'this is it'. It has the kind of atmosphere we've all known and loved over the years and hopefully will become a byword for top quality Northern Soul in the Home Counties. The club is between Watford High Street and Bushey overground stations and is a 10 minute walk from both. Short taxi ride from Watford Junction or W20 bus route stops almost outside venue (adjacent to recycling depot). There is a spacious, private car park in front of the venue for cars/scooters. Look out for website updates soon including pictures and more info about DJs. If you're local, please get in touch with Martin info@caledoniasoul.co.uk and tapes/CDs welcome from collectors in the W.Herts area for consideration for future DJ spots.
