BluesTrain play Ad-Lib 6ts Soul/R&B Club Lincoln
"Back to the Roots" Macmillan Nurses Charity Special.
Ad-Lib djs Dave Woolley,Allan Swires,John Paul with adopted resident Doug Hall play sixties uptempo/underplayed/classic tracks from the original underground allnighter scene. Many of these sounds had their "roots" in the Chicago R&B scene of the late 50's/early 60's.
Four-piece band BluesTrain (www.bluestrain.co.uk) play authentic, irresistable Chicago 50.s/60's R&B.(tracks like Elmore James'"Dust my broom"covered by many including Ike/Tina turner is a fine example of the blues/soul linkage)
This is a first for the Lincoln area.Rhythm,Blues,Soul at it's dance-fuelled best. The birth of a musical culture that owes so much to those bluesmen.
