Another night of Rare / Lesser Played soul music, one week after last saturdays big night is going to be tough, with The Pier going on just down the road and some of the locals having to make a choice between the two venues. . . Last Saturday had something fresh and different about it, leaving the mind reeling back to this or that tune. A couple or three of the notable ones were on the complimentary C.D. - Pow Wow, as Nik Mak commented, is quite special. . As you know, I personally like anything that comes into the domain of uptempo Northern Soul and I hope some of this is delivered. But I know there'll be lots of new gems coming at us from different facets of soul music, such is the general make-up of events that dish out chucks of rare soul. Link to comment
