Barrow Hill Soul Sat 4Th July 2009

Recommended Posts

Well, July (and the first Saturday of the month) rolls around again- it`s nearly the height of summer and these hot summer nights and soul really DO go together...

This Saturday coming sees the return of another of Barrow Hill`s favourite vinyl spinners..Our good friend (and everyone else`s if they`ve any sense...)

Sweet Soul in Newark`s very own DOUGIE HALL. Then add a great dancefloor, great atmos, friendly welcoming hosts and what do you get? Yet another stormin` night of across the board soul. See you there? Unless you`re in Whitby that is!

Sorry we couldn`t get to Brid but the wife`s fave sporting event Wimbo has been on-and she claims it clashes with it. She didn`t go down there (Wimbledon) this year (which is unusual) but has been glued to the google box pressing the red button to her heart`s content watching summat like FOUR games at the same time. THAT`S A MIGHTY LOTTA BALLS I have to say..

Anyway-it`ll be good to see you two again-not seen yer in quite a time. Looking forward to it as always-and we could set up a record bar for you again and for anyone else who wants to buy and sell vinyl or anything of the Northern persuasion...What do you think?

Well, The weather`s unusually good now and to whoever`s going (and those people who are already there) to the Whitby weekender-hope you have a great time and we`ll hopefully see you soon.

For the rest of you who aren`t travelling to the east coast we have a quite stirring night of across the board soul, that awesome dancefloor and a warm welcome (as always) waiting for you.

Until then... stay cool..
