By and large, the values in John Manship's UK guide are about right in my opinion but I'd have a minimum price of £20 and an increase of about 10% generally. However, because it is a very collectable label, the price of a 45 can be distorted if it is on auction and is targeted by someone who wants it badly. Apart from the obvious ones, I'd nominate Roy Lee Johnson on red & yellow as being hard.

While we're talking red & yellow Actions, I have a Barbara Mason "Slipping away" / "Half a love" in Mint- condition that someone has recently asked me to sell to them. What price should this be? can't remember finding one of these before g.gif & I can't find it on popsike.

Regards,

Ady.

Sold a load of Actions recently (inc Barbara Mason) on Ebay having had more or less the whole run inc blue & grey 70s releases. Just kept one or two of the more Northern dancers for DJing (E Holman, Showmen, B Patterson etc). Have to say was disappointed in prices I got considering so-called collectability of the label. Only Roy Lee Johnson got over £20.

According to "Record Collector" 2008...

Dee Dee Sharp-What Kind Of Lady £40

Carl Carlton- Competition £45

ZZ Hill-Make Me Yours £75

Olympics-Baby Do £20

Barbara Mason-Slipping Away £20

Roy Lee Johnson-So Anna £30

Eddie Holman-I Love You £70

There aren't any demo prices (or prices for The Showmen!) in the book.

I'm wasting my life...

Brad
