Guest dkd
Local Poet David Lyall has asked the crew (all two of us) from Walls of Heartache to play a soul/northern set at the launch of his new collection on Friday the 15th July at the Lord Rookwood Pub, 314 Cann Hall Road, Leytonstone, E11. Can't guarantee what it will be like, but may be worth a look-in for anyone local. The extracts I have read so far of the book are however well worth listening to. I believe we are going on to Soul Roulette in Bethnal Green afterwards. David has offered to return the favour at our night in Walthamstow on the 30th July. Guest
I'm sure it'll be a good night. Good music and some culture! Seriously though, the poetry is contemporary down to earth stuff. Guest
I like the sound of that - bit of culture in E11. Ahem - There was a young DJ called Dave Who soul music just couldn't save While losing the plot, playing Judy Street's 'What' He turned the night into a grave Boom boom! Link to comment

Guest
This looks more interesting than my planned evening in with a re-run of CSI. What are you intending to play to go with Poetry? RonD Link to comment

RonD link Ron, I have absolutely no idea, which is what makes it interesting. I suppose t depends on the audience really, as we are only supporting David's launch. By the way, I have just heard Soul Roulette has been cancelled - so we are on the look out for somewhere to go after. Hope you make it down, Dave Link to comment
Guest
With a name like 'Andy' - you shouldn't tempt the fate of my stining poetry mate. There was a young DJ called Andy Whose legs were incredibly bandy To worsen his plight, he kept playing 'The Night' Off a reissue CD bought from Tandy Boom, and once more, boom Eddie Link to comment
