Bridgey
Well, What a fantastic year this venue has had. From YORKSOULTRAIN moving venues a couple of years ago from The Junction, to The Crescent, I have only missed going twice (due to DJ-in at other venues) and I can honestly say it's a FULL HOUSE every time, including last night. Venue started at 7.30pm and by 9pm the room was full including the dance floor. This place offers "Soulies" pure across the board Soul with "No Politics".......... Something for everyone, which also includes an hour dedicated to the Rare and underplayed which is always provided by YORKSOULTRAIN'S very own Lovely "DJ Diva Di". It was an absolute pleasure to be one of the Guest DJ's last night. I Guested back in January and last night was no different.............. "Awesome" Thank you once again to all involved at YORKSOULTRAIN for bringing pleasure to both Linda and myself for the past few years we have lived here in York. Here is my playlist (In Alphabetical Order): Ann Sexton - You've Been Gone To Long (Seventy 7) Billy Davis - Stanky (Get Funky) (Cobblestone) Billy Storm - Educated Fool (Infinity) Bobby Taylor - Oh, I've Been Bless'd (VIP) Carol Anderson - Sad Girl (Fee Detroit) Dean Parrish - Bricks, Broken Bottles & Sticks (Musicor) Doug Banks - I Just Kept On Dancing (ARGO) Edward Hamilton & The Arabians - Baby Don't You Weep (Maryjane) The 5 Royals - Catch That Teardrop (ABC Paramount) Four Perfections - I'm Not Strong Enough (Partytime/Demo) Four Tracks - Like My Love For You (Mandingo) Jackie Wilson - It Only Happens When I Look At You (Brunswick) Joanie Sommers - Don't Pity Me (Warner Bros/Demo) Johnny Honeycut - I'm Coming Over (Triode) Kurt Harris - Emperor Of My Baby's Heart (Diamond/Demo) Marv Johnson - Come On And Stop (United Artists) Pat & The Blenders - Just Because (Fast Eddie) Roy Hamilton - You Shook Me Up (RCA Victor/Demo) Rufus Lumley - I'm Standing (Holton) Showmen - Wrong Girl (Minit/Audition) Tommy Navarro - I Cried My Life Away (De Jac) Tony Galla - In Love (Swan) Yum Yums - Gonna Be A Big Thing (ABC Paramount/Demo) All the very best for 2010. weetwood white
A great night, and I'll be hoping to make it back in February. Can someone tell me what track 15 is from the CD (between Irene & The Scotts and The Righteous Brothers) as the track list has slight wobble at this point. Great song. I Need You Baby?
