Ian Seaman
think it has been booted on nycs but it is a recent boot and will probably be vinyl and a poor lookalike copy, got a scan as that will show 100% which copy it is, think new boot has very small writing on it ? Eddyw
ian , i have not seen any boots about to compare with , but i know i bought it at wigan for less than a fiver , about 79/80 , it looks very much like the original scans i have seen over the last few years, but a lot of boots can be nearly spot on , it does not refer to a boot in the latest jms book, so i just thought to ask , if anyone knows the answer , someone one here will , thanks Link to comment Social source share
shute
heres a link to the boot https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FLAME-N-KING-HO-HAPPY-DAY-MINT-FREE-P-P_W0QQitemZ280460141028QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Records?hash=item414cba21e4 Link to comment Social source share
shute
dont think it was ever booted before - only ever seen yellow label ones and they were styrene the link above is a new boot / repress on a white NYC - if this is a copy of a demo - then Ive never seen an original demo - white or otherwise Link to comment Social source share
Eddyw
thanks for the answers on this , the one i have is not like the repress on ebay, its on a yellow label , so it looks like it may be a original , unless someone knows if the runout numbers are right or not, thanks Link to comment Social source share
Guest GFAS03
Eddy, the description of the run out is identical to my copy, which I obtained from a very reliable dealer some years ago. I'd be astonished (and gutted) if mine were a boot... Hope this helps All the best Andrew Link to comment Social source share

I found 8 copies in Subway records in New York in 1979-it was being played by Sam as The Carstairs c/u-I actually owned the record as a new release purchased in Syd Booths from Phil kingswood around 1975 -always loved it-they are the same as the scan. ps dont forget about the UK Grapevine release as well Rob Link to comment Social source share
