Derek Pearson With Guest John Benson On T' Radio Sat 27Th Feb

Recommended Posts

After numerous delays and set backs - hey it's showbiz so they say - in tonight's show it was my great pleasure to welcome onto BCB Radio for his first time, Mister John Benson from way down in deepest Mexborough. A long time Yarmouth Soul Essence stalwart John casually mentioned this was his first ever appearance anywhere behind a radio mick. Not that you would ever have guessed as his calmness made him appear a seasoned regular. And with a bit o' luck he will be.

And as usual if you're interested in hearing the show live there's 2 ways to go about it - first try the good old 106.6FM frequency on your radio and secondly through wonders of the world wide web www.bcbradio.co.uk

The next show on Saturday 6th March will feature the vinyl talents of a long time regular on these airwaves Mick Howard from sunny Heywood.

Onwards,

Derek

All Era's. All styles. All over the place. And you know it.

Thanks for the heads up. Know John only a little but enough to know he has great taste in SOUL (capitals intentional) music.

Looking forward to this one as I know it'll be quality. thumbsup.gif

Hoping as usual Derek will post on here the "Listen Again" button. Unable to pick up BCB 106.6 out as far as the BD23 post code.

Can you pick it up on the internet at the same time as the show is broadcasting. But hey ho, shall not miss it regards whatever format/output.

Thanks once again Guys.

Thanks for posting em' up from last week. thumbsup.gif

Seriously enjoyed the jazzy/gospel influenced sound of Thomas East on little rock's True Soul Label - "Follow The Rainbow", very fresh sounding. Topped off with Ike Noble's 45 offering on Alley Records - Its Bad.

Thank you.
