Guest oldsoulgitcomes
Another trip up the M6 from Wolves (not quite as bad this time) & another great night...! Decent, friendly, knowlegable crowd, (it was the kind of night some may have stayed at home & lit the Barby) Great music, Across the board, some modern some r&b a few classic oldies & some crackin northern. Ok so the dance floor wasn't as busy as it maybe could have been but it didn't make any difference to a good night. I for one will go back, i'd rather drive the M6 than stop local and hear the same old same old....! Big thanks to everyone that organised a great night. and Browny i bet you've still go more to give....lol (including the Isleys) The Git Link to comment

You are really a good friend to Nige . He was gob smacked , it's friends like you that go the extra mile that makes the soul scene what it is . Otis Smith
Firstly, good to see the thread starting early, and it is easy to use the usual words, as what a fantastic night, it was last night, but that's exactly what it was. There were a few less people on the dancefloor, at times, than usual, but the music, people, atmosphere, more than made up for it. I thoroughly enjoyed it once again, and lots of records new to me!. As the Spinners said, what more can a boy ask for!. Well done again, to all, I eagerly await the other playlists, till next time, keep on keeping on, all the best, Nigel A. Link to comment

Blunny
Had another cracking night again last night at The Legion. A real plethora of top music all night, a beltin' atmosphere and of course, the great, friendly crowd. Thought Pete played a blinder, one of the best sets I've had the pleasure to hear from him, nice one mate. Keep it coming Great set from John Orritt and proof to me, that the guy knows what goes, as I'd heard him play the previous night at the Riverside aswell. No big-hitters Nige, eh? Well, Ruby, The Masqueraders and Brice Coefield hit me pretty big , brilliant tunes and thanks for playing 'em. And a big thanks to Carms aswell for The Enjoyables and The Vondors, lovely. A brilliant two sessions from the two of you. I'd just picked up me shoes from the cobblers earlier in the day, having had 'em soled and heeled and it was like dancing on an ice-rink. Got a bit of a groin strain today from trying to stop meself slippin' into a side splits, ouch And nice to chat with ya Paul (owd git) outside during a smoke break. I Like your outlook mate See ya again soon. Can't wait for next month!! Well done Tony & Lisa Edited April 25, 2010 by Blunny Link to comment
