Nicola
Does it have to be the England game Ady or can we switch over to Germany, my adopted homeland, sure your attendees won't mind and it saves the live acts getting lynched for supporting the good old US of A (assuming they have heard of that game called soccer) Looking forward to it and the real match of the weekend, the big guns having to play 5 records upstairs in Tef's room on Saturday night, sort out the real big hitters having to get it right for 5 records solid, not an easy task as many found out last year, it will be like a penalty shoot out for the DJ's, my moneys on Santucci with his Italian steel, or some of our European cousins taking the rest apart with their cool heads, or maybe the man of the moment Karl Heard, if he is there, sneaking in from the side and dispelling that myth that Engerlanders can't win 5 hit shootouts, or will even Karl prove he is human and have a David Batty moment........ The pressure is on boys. I will be playing the last 5 tunes again, to the 2 doorman, Val and Elaine, the barman rattling his bottles loudly, and maybe a sleeping Mickey cruise based on last year, oh that is assuming Marco can't keep awake to double deck at the end, he is getting older after all..... To keep with the football analogies, bring it on... Hiya Jock Gilly and I will deffinately be there and I will try not to dessert you all this year on Saturday night. Oh and I have been asked to do my bit upstairs but I am not sure that I am one of the big guns but I will try and fit in. See you all there. Link to comment
Guest Ferrett
Just had a beautiful 2 week holiday in a 5 star hotel in sunny Crete and all we could talk about was how good a weekend we were gonna have in a caravan in Cleethorpes. jocko
If I was from Scotland I think I'd adopt Germany as my homeland as well That was meant to say as my adopted second homeland, as I am sure you know Mr Rimmer (just realised the comic potential of your name, if you weren't much bigger than me and I wasn't a coward) I lived there , although since the beer was better, the women were nicer and the sun shone for months so it does have some advantages over my beloved Scotland. Not enough Ginger people though for me to make it my number one homeland. This time next week ... That actually looks like me and Mikey (based on photos) cheering in the front with Bearsy in the middle, have you doctored that. Sure that will be sort similar to the position we all adopt during the game on Saturday, hopefully you will have knocked the chip off your shoulder re Lorraine Kelly by then! (JOCKO)You will recognise me as I will be the one fighting with the 2 doormen at 5am trying to stop them removing the cartridges to allow Marco to have just one more........ No doubt Pete will be helping you..............just like he did for Cliff with the taxi driver in Barcelona........ so looking forward to this weekend, Cleethorpes has always done it for me and I intend to do my bit in making this one to remember, and one I can tell Pete about in his old age because he is intending to 'go for it' and may need some assistance with the 'details' Love Karen xxx I am sure I will try my best to help Peter reach a perfect state of forgetfullness during the weekend, it is our norm for this weekend. Jocko I'm looking for a quiet caravan do you know of any............shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Add me to the Leeds enclave. See you Friday. Cheers Martyn Cheryl won't even tell me the address for this weekend in case I bring back any dodgy punters again, said I am only getting led by blindfold to and from caravan so I can't find it on my own...... Spencer Wiggins is one of my all-time faves, way up there amongst the top runners. A rare opportunity to see one of the real greats of soul music. A really good read on him here --- https://darkendofthestreet.blogspot.com/2009/08/spencer-wiggins-story-part-1.html Anyone know who's DJing on Saturday night. Is there an itinerary anywhere? Pop upstairs, lots of dj's literally hundreds playing freestyle, to use trendy saying of moment, ask for Tef on the door and tell him Jock said your in! Just don't tell everyone though...... Hiya Jock Gilly and I will deffinately be there and I will try not to dessert you all this year on Saturday night. Oh and I have been asked to do my bit upstairs but I am not sure that I am one of the big guns but I will try and fit in. See you all there. And I won't promise we won't ramsack your caravan all day Sunday this time while Gilly snores on., although I may have to go home Sunday this year, which might be good news for you but then there will be no-one to control Marco!! Tee x cateracts, or a film of vaseline on your contact lenses will work just as well - if not better I'm lucky in that I can't actually see what people look like if its even remotely dark - its very frightening when the lights come on at the end though Link to comment

Due to circumstances beyond my control I now find myself without accommodation for the weekend. I'm quite small, very clean with next to no bad habits. I know that its very short notice but is there anybody out there who wouldn't mind putting me up for the whole weekend. To help I know have an empty car and will be traveling up from St. Neots just after lunch on Friday and hope to be setting off for home when they kick us out on Monday. Been looking forward to this for ages and would hate to miss it Hopefully Melvyn Link to comment
