Planet Records Radio Catacombs Northern Soul Special - remembering Max Millward

As you will now probably all now, our friend and mentor to many of us, Max Millward aka Blue Max, sadly passed away at the weekend. There are some glorious tributes to Max on the Soul Source site which tell you what sort of guy Max was; the fact that hundreds of people have paid tribute speaks volumes. Max was, of course, one of the original DJ's at the legendary Catacombs club in Temple Street, Wolverhampton (1971-74). The only thing I could think of to do as a tribute was to compile a podcast of some of the tunes that Max would have played at The Cats. If one or two are associated with other clubs, then so be it, but this is the best I could do, so please, get your dancing shoes on, roll back the carpets and please remember our mate Max when you hear some of these classic Northern Soul 45's.
