Mike
May have noticed this as been running for a few days now Basically the site can now offer you notifications on many site events, be it new pm, new reply to post, if a post of yours has been quoted, status updates and so on These can be delivered via inline notification, pms, email or via your mobile phone Rather than post loads of info, will just post the two links - which can be found quickly via the top menu under "members" Display Your Notifications this one shows you a list all your latest notifications (note : the number of notifications is also displayed via the top bar) https://www.soul-source.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notificationlog Your Notification Settings on this page you can choose just which features you wish to be notified about and how the notifications are delivered https://www.soul-source.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notifications this "new" feature is really a expansion of the old method - it does offer a lot more "events" that you can be notified about and the aim of it all is so that you can easily and quickly keep u ptodate with whats going on at soul source be it forum, status, comments and so on expect more features such as gallery to be included in the near future Mobile Push on offer now is also the option to have all or some of your notifications sent to your mobile further details will be posted with site news post of the new soul source iphone app available which will follow shortly screenshot below Link to comment
Jumpinjoan
Beside where your new messages are there is also a notification thing that says you have a new message. How do you turn that off? You can see you have a new message so why do you need the other notification? I can't see the point of it or am I missing something? Link to comment

I can't see the point of it or am I missing something? notifications is just a extension/evovelment of the old "you have a new pm/post" that used to get sent out now it just offers you more scope and choice and easier to control eg does same as before send ya email/pm/ etc if choose plus can now do mobile push stuff and the inline thing (the number at top) couple of examples can use it for letting you know if a friend has updated their status can now be notified if someone quotes one of your posts on this page you can choose just which features you wish to be notified about and how the notifications are delivered https://www.soul-source.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notificationshttps://www.soul-source.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notifications as with most of this stuff, can tailor the options to suit your needs or even switch off completely by deticking all boxes Link to comment
Jumpinjoan
Is it the 'in line' settings that are responsible for the 'do not reply' personal message notifications? Which box do I untick to stop them? I don't want to disable the one that tells me I have a new message. Only the 'do not reply' one. Thanks. Link to comment
