A Mel Britt Question Out Of The Blue

I had a strange call today from a lady asking me if I knew how to get in touch with MEL BRITT...I kid you not.

She had seen the article online in Theres That Beat and I am lsited on there as a contact so just called to see if I knew his whereabouts because they want to contact him regarding licensing a song he either wrote or had sung couldn't quite figure it out.

Not often you get asked a question like that while getting ready to sit down to your tea is it!

I put her in touch with Dave Moore because I know he met him in Chicago and would know who to contact.

She was fascinated to hear that Mels song She'll Come Running Back gets played almost every weekend somewhere in the UK.......I told her to look up Northern Soul on Wikipedia...she was quite amazed.
