This is likelly yo be the name Pete Smith has been looking for , in relation to who was the presenter for the Radio 1 documentary on NS .

According to " The In Crowd " , Peel was asked to front the documentary , and visited clubs for research .

The Radio 1 DJ that did the N S insight was Paul Bernett (name-spelling?).

I have got the show on CD now, it was on tape.

I did it with hand held mike to radio in my mum;s front room. and when the ice cream man goes down the street you can hear it in the backround.

Dave.

Thank the Lord that you have revealed the name Steve , that it was PAUL BURNETT who fronted the Radio 1 NS documentary : we can all sleep easier at night now

PB was one half of " Laurie Lingo & The Dipsticks " - the other half being Dave Lee Travis - who did " Convoy GB " in 1976 .

" Walkin' The Duck " one minute , " Rubber Duck " the next :P

Emperor Rosko broadcast a live show once from the Casino.

I can't remember what night of the week it was though.

In fact it may have been in the afternoon. :hatsoff2:

This may have been ER's " Rosko's Round Table " Brian , which was broadcasted - usually live - on a Friday teatime .

You're probably right Malc

I remember it being an 'early' session, so teatime sounds about right.

Al Matthews was on CBS. While producing a single on Linda Lewis in 1983, he sang background vocals for me.

He starred in several films, the best being the comedy 'Coast To Coast' along with Lenny Henry and John Shea.

Dave Raistrick supplied memorabilia to the production company.

And an old mate of mine from Quinton in Brum supplied the ice cream van!!!
