I gave up caring about football after I was duped into buying "We're on the march with Ally's army" in the 70s 4) Newies!!! 5) 60s !!! - Absoultely no question about it. 6) Scooters !!! 7) Polished floor - Fallen on my arse too many times due to excessive use of talc. 8) Bootlegs? You're havin' a larf.... A night out at cinema with my fella, every time ! 9) Bitter - suits my personality 10) Soulful mid-tempo ! Don't mind either as long they're a decent act for example (Lorraine Silver at Stoke last year (don't think so)) Dance Comps---Friday at Cleggy.. Footie Soul every time... Oldies Newies Like both. Scooters - Cars? Scooters every time. Talc - Polished floor? Polished floor..talc gets all over the place. Night out at cinema with missus/fella - Night of cheap bootlegs? Bootlegs at least its music and it's whats in the groove that counts Lager - Bitter Vodka - Red Bull to start, copious amounts of water to finish. Stompers - Soulful mid-tempo? Never been into live acts. Soul / Footie With Kolla on that one - had to suffer supporting Scotland, Man City & Dunfermline all my life so has to be SOUL!!!! Guest in town Mikey Posted June 8, 2004 Share Posted June 8, 2004 OK being a statistician I should do a little analysis on the answers. Most people prefer an Allnighter, unless you are too old. I prefer Allnighters, but handle soul nights SO much better. Not one vote for dance comp, and only 4 saying live acts. I'm not a great fan of either but the promoters have done wonders bringing some great acts over. Maybe a review on how these are presented. I liked the Mary Love gig at the Jazz cafe, like Kolla said. Maybe that could be the way forward. At least we know what we are getting. Footy looses out, unless you support a crap team like Everton Man City or Bristol City. (I've been crying crying crying) Oldies and newies. There's a debate Newies getting one more vote. Did show this to a colleague, and he said 'how can you have a new record from the 602...you lot are fuckin sad'. I must be sad, cos I love sixties newies, and you cant beat an oldie. So splinters up the arse time for me on this one. Cars are living proof we are all too old, though I have my eye on a lovely 1960 LD. Fuckinf £1800 quid. jeez, wish I had kept all mine now. Polish 100%. Talcum power I say. Boots are slighlty more preferable than a night out with a loved one!! Will leave you to decide what that means. ;-) Mid tempo wins out.
