Local Posted October 30, 2010 Share Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) DUE TO A VARIETY OF REASONS WHICH INCLUDE, CLASHING WITH SIMILAR EVENTS ON THE SAME NIGHT, (BOOMERANG AND SOULFUSION) BUT MAINLY BECAUSE OF BUSY PERSONAL WORK COMMITMENTS, I HAVE RELUCTANTLY DECIDED TO CANCEL" NU SOULUTIONS @ STAFFORD RANGERS" SCHEDULED FOR THE 20th of NOVEMBER. DURING THE PAST TWO YEARS WE REALLY HAVE HAD SOME VERY SPECIAL NIGHTS,AND I MUST THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THE RUNNING OF, DJd AT, OR ATTENDED THIS EVENT. I KNOW THAT SOME REGULARS TRAVEL MANY MILES AND THIS FACT HAS HAD AN INFLUENCE ON MY DECISION TO CANCEL. I AM SURE I WILL SEE MOST OF YOU AROUND AT EVENTS LIKE.................................................................................... We've had some fantastic, real soul music nights at Stafford and I thoroughly enjoyed playing there too. Like many soul nights, it's a labour of love for promoters, sorting rooms & dates, booking dj's and organising flyers etc, all well in advance of course, to find that, despite your best efforts and a cracking dj roster, punters still don't come through the door in sufficient numbers to cover your costs. But hey, you don't do it for the money, it's for the love of the music and the socialising, meeting like-minded folk and getting lost in the moment of some fantastic tune that can lift your heart and almost make you cry at the same time. So John, thank you for the last few years at Nu-Soulutions - Vicki & I have had many such moments. Kev Link to comment
