Guest alfroggy Posted November 29, 2010 Share Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) On Saturday 4th December the Greenlands Club Preston will be holding a charity Northern/Modern/Rare&Underplayed Soul event in aid of The Breast Cancer Charity, a very dear friend has this week began her Chemotherapy Treatment in her fight against Cancer [Avril Carroll] is a very keen Soulie. and the venues she's attended over the years....Wigan Casino/Blackpool Mecca/Morecombe Pier/ The Greenlands/Preston Grasshoppers/The Mill/Prestatyn Weekenders/Blackpool Weekenders.... We asked Avril if there is anything at all we could do to help in any way? We mentioned having a Soul night on behalf of herself and to keep all the Monies raised on the night but she declined this offer and instead wanted all the monies raised to go to the Breast Cancer charity..... the reason for the timing of this event is because Avril requested sooner the better before the Chemotherapy treatment begins to take effect for all those people who have had Chemotherapy or know anyone who as you will understand.... I do, ...So that brings us to the Greenlands Club this coming Saturday 4th December 5pm/1.30am £3 otd for what will be an open deck invitation to all Djs & Record Collectors who never get the chance to stand behind the decks, well here's your chance, Djs confirmed at the Moment...Colin Murphy...John Mexican Meredith....Chris Barr....Carol Gilboy.....Soul twins Steve&Stuart Almond.....more will be added over the next few days...so give me a call if you fancy spinning a few tunes all for the Charity Breast Cancer...everyone will work together so don't be frightened to call, look forward to hearing from you......Ktf Froggy For more details plus Djs and Record collectors Call Froggy on 07894120969 or email..alfroggy@yahoo.co.uk Information The Greenlands Soultime Night is not affected at all and will be going ahead every 2nd Friday of each month has normal, next event Friday 10th December with The ChristmasSpecial with Guest Djs Dave Evison, Phil Threlfall, SoulSam...
