Heywood Civic

Recommended Posts

So yesterday was bloody cold, but clear

Until

I opened the front door at half 7 to set off

Chuff me, where did that lot come from????

Anyway, made it to the Civic , got a pint, put some tunes on and waited

and waited

at 9 Oclock, there was me, Ste Pat and 3 others in

We thought, well...............

Any way, a few more hardy Souls made the effort and by 10 there was around 40.

Many Thanks to ALL of you that braved the weather and made it :)

So not a great night numbers wise but

Ahh the MUSIC

with Tony Mac, Mick Howard and The Willinghams we were expecting a treat

And we got it :D:yes:

Thanks once again, lets hope January is a bit warmer

Had another great night at the Civic, top tunes, lovely people.

Would like to appeal to anyone in the Northwest who hasn't been to Heywood Civic to come and give it a go.

Great wooden dance floor, guest DJ's every month and a warm welcome always AND THAT'S NOT JUST THE HEATING!!

Tony and Ste deserve more!!! (Even without the snow, numbers are not what they deserve coming through the door. )

Last night guest DJ's Carl and Maria Willingham, Tony Mac and Mick Howard all delivered great sets throughout the night.

Sandra you REALLY are a SPAZ are'nt you? It was TONY MAC DER!!!!

I totally agree with what Sandra said, its such a shame that there are'nt enough people going here. I URGE you to just try it once, and GUARENTEE you will want to come back. Its one of the best venues around, and the friendliest crowd around. Large wooden dance floor, always fantastic DJ's cheap beer (bar on till 1am) and only a fiver. What more could you ask for??? First Friday of the month see you there!!! :hatsoff2:

Glad you had a great nite, Pete n I was gutted we couldn't get over to Heywood as it really is a great event and should be supported more.

We phoned around however could not find anyone who could give us a lift, bloody car and then the donkey refused as well. So we had to drink Tony P's share of the anti freeze at home that went down really well.

See you all soon.

Smurfy n Pete
