I see, so it's better than Darrell Banks, John & The Weirdest, Emanuel Laskey, Cashmeres etc etc etc  :(

Don't forget the Magnetics (Bonnie and Sable), Ronnie McNeir, and so on. Sweeping statements, don't we all just love them. :( They do create a lot of debate. blush.gif:(

sorry folks IN MY OPINION always forget that bit thumbsup.gif

..and yes Pete, I personally think so. The No Time side of J&W is very mediocre in my opinion. Memories is my all time fave, but I think the flip would get no where on its own. Yes the flip of the Cashmeres is superb, but I'm not bothered about Showstopper, never have been. Can't think of any wow 45s by E Laskey and to be honest I find most of the Darrel Banks 45s a tad boring (probably overplayed in my house) though all are brilliant records.

The best double sider in my opinion is the High Keys, no question.

Double siders that for me are ace (IMHO)

1) Willie Kendricks - Change your ways/whats that on your finger

2) The Spindles - And the band played on ...can't remember the other side but it is great - mid tempo magic

3) Chubby and the turnpikes - You dont know the inside story/ I didn't try

Cheers Shane .C.

Here's some more Classic double siders that do it for me:

Jo Ann Garrat - Whole new plan / Stay by My side / Chess

Jabi - You got me / What good am I / Kapp

Clyde King - He always come back / Soft & Gentle Ways / Imperial

Christ I nearly forgot

Jack Montgomery - Dear Beloved / Septre

There are a hell of allot of Funk / Soul Double siders if you count them, but I would not know about that.... Blluurrdfdfdt....!!!! :(
