Nuneaton Co-Op - Wigan Special + Announcement

Recommended Posts

Wanted to say a big thanks to all that turned up last and again made a fab nite at the co-op....

travellers from all over (including a young couple from london) as well as my loyal regulars...it means alot that people turn up and support your venue...and the crowd at nuneaton are just brill....

last nite was a wigan nite and i took loads of records and managed to put stuff on ive not played for years,,yvonne and violets,,cheryl ann,,loads of instrumentals etc,,audio arts strings for the first two hours ,,loved it...

due to having too much to drink the planned searling/winstanleys spot didnt quite materialise but Eddie and Ian James did a fantastic job in keeping the dancefloor happy whilst mixing in forgotten gems

people still dancing at 3am when lights went up,,,

once again bigt thanks to all....

also announcement is that my co-promoter Ian 'Fordy' Ford has a new job and is unable to commit to the cause on a permanent basis,,,i would just like to say publicly a MASSIVE thanks to Ian and all his help at the Coop and other mr mms soul club events..over the past years

ian will still be out and about...but i will be carrying on the co-op with some fab events to come - watch this space..

next event **SATURDAY APRIL 2nd ANNIVERSARY ALL-NITER **

keep the faith

Thanks Mark for putting this on & for a most enjoyable night.

Know most on here know that I'm more of a Modern fan but when I do an oldies night now I like it to do what it says on the can & last night certainly did.

Think thats the most my old bones have danced for quite a while now & I'm certainly paying for it today.

The highlights for me was hearing Eddie digging into the playboxes & spinning a different spot to what he normally serves up & your good self spinning Cheryl Ann - I Won't Let Him. Can honestly say that the last time I heard that played was at Wigan Casino.

Shelley was saying to me all night how she wished she'd been to the Casino but if she'd seen the toilets there I'm not so sure :hatsoff2:

Mart...
