Well if you like your soul to be rare n underplayed then last night ticked the boxes no problem

Liana warmed it up with some stuff thrown in i didnt even know she had

Col played some classy underplayed tunes--Alan Brown? in particular

Nev brought in the big ticket rarities

Don just keeps bringing out pure quality with some top finds

I chipped in the "last Hour" dancefloor numbers

Cant think of a record played all night i wouldnt gladly have in me collection

Rare and underplayed describes it perfectly

yes agree totaly but a few faces missing last nite due to other comitments? , you cant blame people for not travelling when people on the door step dont make the effort, the record was andrew brown on four brothers called first love pure soul , i think he is the brother of edith brown ,you did it . on the same lable . you wont find many nites out there playing tunes of this quality every one a winner. records like

milton parker

groovettes

devotions

hugh boynton

jock mitchell

small society

plus loads of other great tunes ,col

Yes sometimes i have to be a bit strict Davey---especially when im on a promise (Liana PROMISED id be sleeping in the car again if i didnt make it home before 2)

Have to agree with both your's and Col's summing up of the night :thumbsup:

That Maurice Mcallister that Don played ,really hit the spot with our table on Saturday night ..also recall Liana playing a really nice motown tune early on but forgot to ask what it was??

The change of night did bring in some new faces but sadly they didnt really replace in numbers ,the amount of regulars that didnt show for whatever reason?
