Rideout - something special

Recommended Posts

Info required please........

I was reading a DJ profile article in this months Manifesto, and he rates Rideout - something special, in his top ten, also, in the same vain as Alfie Davison 12" with regards to acquiring it. I was under the impression that the A.D 12" is as rare as rocking horse shit, and had a rather high price - so, what is the current price of Rideout track ?

Also, has anyone heard of, or any got any info on this record........Billy Sha-Rea - Let's do it again on Triple B records. One side is very James Brownish, and the other more 60's R & B

Cheers....

Rideout is way superior to Alfie Davidson in my humble opinion, far more complex musically.

Would love to know value of this also as one of my records that have been lovingly

received out of storeage recently, sad but true, one of the nicest days of this year so far!

I digress, Rideout, if I remember rightly was Mr Searlings last ever record at the Casino (and should be noted he, like many of us only went to the first and the official last night, if that makes sense)

Cheers lads, so just how rare is the Alfie Davison 12" ?

Manship has it at double the price for the 7 inch.

£200 for 12 inch

£100 for 7 inch

Proves size does matter :-(

Buy the 7" & save yourself a 100 quid + a big disappointment. Think Sam played the 12 of Alfie D. rare it may be, quality it ain't IMHO. Boring boring boring

7" is great tho' (as we all know)

Late last year Manship had it on a set sale list at £150. In January there was one on abay that went for $435.00 (about £240). Then in March Manship had a Sterling Sound acetate up for auction which I think went for £400+. I bought mine off John Buck about 18 years ago for £20 which I thought had been previously owned by Sam. At that time there was another in a collection which had come from soul Bowl for around the same price.
