A Massive thanks to everyone who attended for what was to me an absolute belting night  great Music spun as always by residents John Tony and Trev.

But my biggest thanks go out to our very special guest Dj :hatsoff2: Mr. Chris Holmes who played an absolute perfect hour of top drawer northern soul, it was a pleasure to see him so enjoying himself behind the decks .

It was nice to see a good crowd showing their support to Chris and also keeping the dance floor busy all evening.

We now look forward to our next evening of quality Northern and crossover when our guest on saturday July 2nd is Mr. Martyn Bird who always comes up trumps  .

All the very best Tracy

have to agree Tracy! First time at York Soul Club and we will be back very soon! Standard of music was immense....

was a quality night, every DJ played a great set IMO, was a bit worse for wear at work on Sunday morning though! :hatsoff2:

Guest The Truth Hurts

I want to echo the previous posts ,even by YSC standards which are very uncompromising Chris Holmes played a blinding set on Sat night .You could hear the experience in his track choices and it was an uplifting sight to see Chris trying not to dance(he had to on certain tracks) and be a DJ for the evening . Like all of us he really loves his music .It does make a differance when the entusiasm is so evident to the room .It is appreciated

Thanks T and T

Playlists please .

Kind Regards

Had an excellant night on Saturday. The good attendance

and music created a fabulous atmosphere....well done

Tony and Tracy, and I hope Chris "did the business" for you.

Chris has asked me to pass on his

sincere appreciation to everyone for the welcome and support

that he was given during his DJ spot.

He was, initially,a "tad"anxious,as his interest in

buying /collecting sounds has "waned" considerably

over the last few years, and he was concerned about

having nothing "new" or "fresh" in his HUGE collection

to play to people.I know that anxiety soon vanished

once he started his set and he kept the dance floor

busy.So much so,he was happy to keep carrying on,regardless,

at the end of his spot.

I just personally want to say THANK YOU to Tony and Tracy

for their unconditional respect and appreciation given to

Chris for his {many }years and input on the "scene",as that went a long way

to giving him the encouragement to unlock his

collection from the "archives" and give them a desrved hearing again.

Many thanks Sue & Chris, we had a ball  Josh thank you for updating the website  but I think a new camera needs investing in or I keep changing the settings

Once again Thank you for your support, if it wasn't for you there would be no YORK SOUL CLUB.

Hope to see some of you at Cleethorpes tomorrow or Bridlington Weekender if not see you all on the 2nd July at York Soul Club.

Love Tracy & Tony
