A big thank you to chris forrest and andy "tatts" taylor for playing some fantastic records appreciated by every one. A special thanks to those that travel to this event from out side of skegness. Finally a big thank you to michael "coops" cooper for all the hard work he put in on the running of this soul event and who played his last record as a resident at the grand central hopefully we will book him in the future as a guest. Pilgrimsoul Posted July 18, 2011 Share Posted July 18, 2011 Really enjoyed the new venue at the grand central to give coops a grand send off.The view is superb (right across to hunstanton) and the surroundings are just what the soulsters deserve,a discerning venue for discerning dancers listening to quality music.I would like to echo Sharons' sentiments towards Coops and his endless work in promoting the Skegness Soul Collective,it seems a little ironic that now the fruits of his labours have been realised he is moving on but such is life and he will be sorely missed but we will continue providing quality nights for those that wish to immerse themselves in our music scene. It really was across the board on Saturday with something for everyone including some that just had to be listened to as well as those that demanded a full dance floor and you can expect more of the same next month with Andy (jacko) Jackson and Andy (smudge) Smith gracing the decks so see you there.
