Soulacola
Linda Lyndell / Billy Hawks – What A Man / O Baby (I Do Believe I'm Losing You) BGP BGPS 011 THATS THE MAN!! tracking it down is easier said than done, dont think they would have sold that many copies.i saw it being played in the Lock Tavern on chalk farm road a few months ago randomly, Ebay has been a big blank and Discogs as well but i bet there are a lot of old Acid Jazz heads out there with a copy in their loft ... Sutty
The original isn't on a 12 it came out in the 60s, it's on the 'heavy soul' lp, the 7 and 12 are both legal uk reissues Cheers Sutty Link to comment Social source share
pikeys dog
There's also a French picture sleeve 45 from the 60s, if I remember correctly it's on Stateside. As rare as hens teeth. Link to comment Social source share

But the LP also gives you the amazing 'You've Been A Bad Girl' which is (IMO) the best cut on the LP and never had any release on 7". Link to comment Social source share
Dean Rudland
The BGP seven was at the time thought to be the first 7 inch issue, I think the French Stateside release only became known about afterwards. It was limited to a 1000 copies and they all sold out. D Link to comment Social source share
Ernie Andrews
The BGP is in the 90s the french is from the 60s - How can it be the first even if someones deluded mind thought so! Link to comment Social source share

The relevant word is thought. No one knew about the French release until about 5 or 6 years ago. It is that rare a records Link to comment Social source share
