Your Current Must Watch Tv ?

I got round to watching 'Touch' last night too. Quite enjoyable, but it's been done so many times before really, more like an up to date 'Littlest Hobo'

I'm trying to work that one out. :g:

Just finished watching " fresh meat " on 4od. Comedy drama from the people behind Peep show. Fresher students in Manchester & their antics & adventures. Really enjoyed it & to top it all i actually came out of it liking Jack Whitehall who plays a real posh boy & is just brilliant.

New series in the offing, don't know when it starts though

Watched episode 1 of season 2 Game of Thrones last night, no let up on the intrigue, sex, violence and general nastiness, brilliant! Tyrion Lannister just gets better and better, the actor Peter Dinklage must thank the gods every day for such a great role.

Thought I would reactivate this topic, having done a bit of series watching lately.

I watched

Suits - superb, can't wait for series 2

Boardwalk Empire - series 1 and 2 - started slowly but became unmissable after only 2 episodes, watched the entire lot back to back and can't wait for the next series

The Good Wife - now this was a surprise, Davina said I might like it as she knows I like courtroom type series, this is courtroom/legal/political drama at it's very best, there have been 3 series, a total of 68 episodes, I watched the entire 68 episodes over a 2 week period and when it had finished my life felt empty. Superb drama and intrigue.

Scandal - only tried 2 epsiodes of this, the lead female character is so annoying I couldn't be bothered to watch the rest

Alcatraz - Saw every episode shown in the States but now it's been cancelled. Well a single program devoted to each of the 200+ inmates would have dragged on for years I suppose

Person Of Interest - wasn't sure about this to start but it's a pretty enjoyable updating of The Equaliser basically. A top secrert machine can predict who will be in some kind of danger and our guys have to stop it happening.

Community - this is a comedy that looks really funny, it's been on for a few years but I only just found out about it, 3 series downloaded, only watched episode 1 though.

Watching Game of Thrones season 2... and that's about it at the moment since Homeland and The Walking Dead finished. Just couldn't get into Alcatraz and recorded all of Touch so far, but just can't get back into it. :(

Actually i'm watching Alphas, not bad, a poor man's Heroes though. Also tried Brimstone hoping it might be like Supernatural, but it wasn't that good. Seem to be a few second rate US TV dramas coming thorugh now on the back of all the successful ones. Shame.

I must admit I'm quite enjoying 'Silk' on BBC 1 at the moment, now into it's 2nd series.

Only started watching at start of series 2, but it's definateiy a grower, and I've now downloaded series 1 so I have that to catch up with.

I'm not usually a fan of UK courtroom drama either.

Liked The Bridge and I agree with earlier comments that Boardwalk Empire got off to a slow start but was very watchable once it got going. Comedy wise thought Fresh Meat was great and really like Grandmas House and although it's a bit cliched Not Going Out.

Can't miss 56 Up as it's my year but wish the interviewer wouldn't keep saying to them "how do feel about getting old" 90 is old not 55/56.

I love it but there seems to be a lot of sitting about talking this time around (ok and the occasional beheading and burning of small children). Robb Stark hasn't fought a battle since the end of the last series and even Bronn hasn't killed anyone for a while :(

Tonight Stannis attacks King's Landing... at last.

Agree Matt - the first two have been good. Dramatic finish last night - bit of a shame cos that posh bird was very tasty. IMO.

There's nothing special I watch at the moment so I'm probably missing out on something - I get too busy for TV sometimes, apart from Newsnight and Question Time etc.

I loved The Wire and Brotherhood (three seasons, I think) and I was HOOKED on Boardwalk Empire from the very first episode so I'm looking forward to the third series which will be on US TV in September. I can't wait for that.

Oh and I think Brian The Dog from Family Guy deserves his very own show.

If anyone needs me, I'll be in the basement...

We love The Middle on Sky1 in our house, well scripted, observant comedy with a touch of reality as it's set in the current recession, very now, they are so good at this in the U.S.

In fact my two kids love it too, so it's reaches across the generations on probably different levels.

Aid.

usually catch ups on bbc 3 or 4, usually music documentaries, like the one on the making of the quadrophenia album which was broadcast couple week back.increasingly though i find radio 4 is sufficient or i may plunder our lasses kindle downlads for anything vaguely pornographic. Sad but simple pleasures really

Grimm, no 'S'.

Watched The Newsroom today after recording it the other night. Pretty good I thought, nicely topical and fairly inspiring. Another HBO triumph? The fictional programme is called News Night and the anchor has more than a touch of Paxman about him. I wonder...
