Premium Stuff
Tonight on BBC4 11pm Motor City's Burning: Detroit from Motown to the Stooges How the city produced two musical revolutions during the 1960s - the Motown label, which brought soul to a mass white audience, and the garage rock scene, which paved the way for punk. However, riots, drugs and Motown's decision to relocate meant Detroit's heyday did not last long. Contributors include Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Martha Reeves and former Supreme Mary Wilson. As well as soul I am also a huge fan of the Stooges and similar stuff so really looking forward to seeing this again. To be repeated on Monday I think.
