Washington, 72, pastor of New Beginning Baptist Church in Topeka, had his brush with fame in the mid-1960s when he cut a few soul records and produced some others on the Prophonics label, based in Flint, Mich.

He said Marvin Gaye, with whom he attended high school in Washington, D.C., helped line up an audition with Motown Records in the mid-1960s. Washington said Motown offered him a contract.

Fantastic tune , it's really good to find out the history behind these soul masterpieces !

Carlsberg don't do national anthems , but if they did ...........

Hi I've just had a message from the Pastor CT Washington , and he was due over here in the summer just gone ,

but couldn't make it
